Our experience in Paide (29/04/2022)

What We Did

On the 29th of April,  our project worked successfully in Paide Youth Center. There were four main parts of our event. First of all, we welcomed all the participants from Paide. After the welcome words, three exciting ice-breaking games were played. Our dialogues followed after the ice-breaking activities, which were divided into two rounds, and feedback was collected from our audience. In the end, we sincerely appreciated every person who took part in the event.

● Description of Activities and Reaching the Stakeholders

Our intervention consisted of icebreaking games at the beginning followed by interpersonal dialogues with the Human Library approach in small groups and feedback.

The stakeholders from our project were:
1) Students in Paide (15-18 years old)
2) Young volunteers, two from France and one from Germany, who were serving in the community at the Paide Youth Center(19-22 years old)
3) The person in charge of the events in Paide Avatud Noortekeskus (25 years old)
4) Institutions, Paide Youth Center and Tallinn University
5) Students of Tallinn University (from China, Ecuador, Estonia, Japan, and Kenya)

The credit for the project sustainability goes to our only Estonian member, Sandra, who communicated with the youth center. The ownership of this project was well distributed by both event organizers, Tallinn University students and a person in charge in Paide Youth Center. It comes from the clear shared vision among all the participants and the shared value of knowing what we want to deliver to the Estonian youngsters in Paide.

However, we could have done more by sharing the schedule ahead of the event and its advertisement by having an online meeting once at least.
